St Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton, New Zealand

On a cloudy spring day, with the threat of rain on the horizon Celeste and Jason were getting ready with their families to say “I do”. Celeste, along with her mum (all the way from South Africa!), sister, and nieces prepare for the day at their beautiful home. After gorgeous hair and makeup we actually had a chance to relax and have some breakfast before everyone put on their dresses. From mother of the bride, to bridesmaids, flowergirls and the bride of course, the dresses were absolutely stunning!! Celeste made sure to video call back home to family in South Africa to check in before heading off to the ceremony.

Meanwhile Jason was getting ready with his Dad and groomsman at a local Airbnb. After capturing the beautiful details including the rings and matching perfumes, the boys helped each other with their boutonnieres. We took some photos down in the courtyard, before realising we were super lucky to have been locked out! Mirvin was already kindly volunteering to scale the side of the building to the balcony if need be!

Their ceremony was held at the stunning St Peter’s Cathedral, standing tall and majestic in central Hamilton. After a grand entrance by the bridal party Celeste + Jason shared their vows in front of friends and family, followed by a traditional catholic ceremony officiated by the dean The Very Rev'd Julian Perkins, whose words truly made me tear up a number of times. The newlyweds exited the church to bubbles being blown by friends + family.

After some group and couple photos taken at the cathedral, we headed to Narrows Landing for some more bridal photos and the reception. The bride and groom entered to a round of applause followed by cutting their cake and speeches. They enjoyed a family style meal with family and friends while going around thanking all of their guests.
