Charlotte and Jon's story started with a simple swipe on Tinder in the heart of the Manawatu. They hit it off right away, and 2 years ago, on a Friday afternoon atop Hakarimata Peak, Jon popped the question, setting the stage for their journey to becoming husband and wife. For their wedding, they opted for a mix of green and florals in pastel hues, with a touch of gold.

The buzz was real as Charlotte and Jon got ready at the same venue, being careful not to sneak a peek before the big reveal. Charlotte's stunning dress and blush pink veil, paired with Jon's unique taonga, made for some stunning photos. The pastel florals blended seamlessly with the venue's hardwood floors, creating a natural backdrop for capturing Charlotte's moments with her bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Jon and his groomsmen, with suspenders and kitchen mug cheers, added a touch of their personality.

Aaron and I spent a couple of hours the day before at the 190 hectare McLaren Falls Park sussing out the best spot for their first look. Their first look was absolutely tear-jerking and provided a special private moment before the ceremony. At Ataahua, a beautiful garden wedding venue in Tauranga, they exchanged vows, sealed it with a kiss, and joyfully proceeded to the petal-throwing, hugs, and refreshing drinks at the outdoor bar. The creative shoot at Ataahua's tree lane framed the bridal party in beautiful greens, capturing the genuine love and friendship between them all.

The reception at Ataahua continued the festivities with cake cutting, speeches, and charming favours - wee animal figurines and bottles of tea leaves. The couple even surprised a few guests with birthday cupcakes. Jon spiced things up with a quick outfit change into traditional dress on the dance floor, ending the night with a lively celebration, satisfied appetites, and warm hearts.
